Your Sauna Experience

Our sauna is located in a tranquil forest next to a small stream in the heart of Jostedal. Melted snow and rain water feeds the stream that passes by, making it the perfect spot for a cold plunge. The sauna is heated by a wood burner and we use locally sourced wood from our farm. We´ll have it nice and warm for you when you arrive - all you need to do is keep the fire going by adding a few logs. Only a 15 minutes drive from Nigardsbreen, this is the ideal place to relax after a day of adventuring in Jostedal.

The sauna comfortably accommodates up to six people. You can choose between booking a private sauna or joining the communal sauna. We offer multiple private sauna sessions every day throughout the summer. The communal sauna runs every evening at 21:00-22:30.

We will greet you on arrival, and the sauna will be available from the time of your booking. Please arrive on time for your booking. Your 1,5 hour sauna session includes changing back into your clothes. We recommend leaving the sauna 5 minutes before your session is over to have time to change before your time is up. We do not currently offer a changing room. We are planning to have one in place at some point during the summer 2026. Please keep an eye on our website or social media as we will update as soon as we know when it will be available. In the case of no changing room, we recommend that you arrive already in your swimwear underneath your clothes. The will be a box available to store your belongings.

Sauna Rules:

-It´s mandatory to sit on a towel in the sauna. Bring 2 towels - one to sit on and one to dry off after. We offer a towel rental package - one smaller to sit on and one larger for drying off after. You can add the package when making your booking.

-No shoes inside the sauna. We kindly ask you to rinse your feet in the bucket of water outside the sauna before entering.

-We recommend bringing a bottle of water to stay hydrated.

-Swimwear is required in the communal sauna.

-Alcohol is not permitted in the sauna.

-For our Private Sauna Experience, the minimum age is 8 years when accompanied by an adult. For the Communal Sauna Experience, the minimum age is 18, or 16 if accompanied by an adult.

-Swimming and use of the sauna is at your own risk.
